A very careful drawing was made first for this study. I spent ages watching the way the water fell,
and trying to decide what created the feel of movement in the water. and so a drawing was made of this, drawing as always on tracing paper. It worked on the drawing, so I took confidence and transferred the image to a watercolour sheet using graphite paper under the tracing. The pencil marks now looked very confusing, so I carefully applied faint coloured washes to seperate the whites from the coloured areas. |
